ASHTANGA YOGA
- Provides a flow based, vinyasa style workout that strengthens, tones, and purifies the body. This is accomplished by focusing on isometrically strengthening the muscles within their full range of joint motion. Breathe is synchronized with movement to create a strong internal fire, burning and eliminating toxins. Ashtanga is highly recommended as a wonderful compliment to running, Spinning®, and strength training.

ANUSARA YOGA - A style of hatha yoga originated by John Friend blending principals of biomechanics and the process of opening the heart to become more aware of the present moment. This class will provide physical and mental awareness and proper use of breathe.  Poses are held for extended periods of time and flow from one pose to the next.

HOT ROOM YOGA - Yoga postures performed in our hot room offer improved health, flexibility and weight loss. Participants have experienced reduction of injuries, illnesses and chronic headaches. This class follows the Ashtanga format and the room temperature will range from 85-90 degrees. Come well hydrated!

INRODUCTION TO ASHTANGA - - Provides the framework of the fundamental Ashtanga principles; breathing, drishti (gaze point), and bundhas (muscular locks). This class deconstructs the basic poses utilized in every class. Questions are strongly urged as the class moves at a more accessible rate than a traditional Ashtanga class. This class is suitable for all levels of fitness. THIS CLASS WILL RETURN IN THE FALL!

YIN YOGA - Yin yoga is the compliment any "yang" workout. "Yang" refers to strengthening, endurance training, and stamina building activities, such as Ashtanga yoga, weight lifting, Spinning®, and running. A persons' own body weight facilitates stretching the connective tissue and fascia concentrated in the hips, low back, and sacro-iliac joints. Low impact, passive poses are held for up to four minutes to allow for complete relaxation and total release in various "yin" stretches. This class is for all levels, ages, and abilities. This class is also recommended for those rehabilitating injuries.  

VINYASA FLOW - This ashtanga based format will move through different poses week to week. It is a more open format that allows you to guide the instructor towards the areas of your body that need it the most!
