The
Spinning® Program is the original and most comprehensive indoor cycling
program. This cardiovascular exercise is for all fitness levels and abilities.
On a specially designed stationary bike, certified Spinning Instructors
will take you on a journey that is FUN and EFFECTIVE. Intensity
levels are based on need and have the potential to burn mega calories,
500 to 800 per 45 minute class! Spinning also tones and strengthens
the entire body. Reservations are suggested during the busy season. Cancellations
must be made PRIOR to class time to avoid being charged. Towels are provided-
Pedal systems for LOOK and SPD - PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE.
SPINNING CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Endurance - All levels, aerobic base building. Flat roads, smoother
hills and speed work. Trains the body to be more efficient at metabolizing
fat, maintain a steady pace and resist fatigue.
Cadence and Pacelines - All levels. This class is meant to simulate
group rides, you'll know what it feels like to "pull" the group by leading
the paceline or "sit in" and recover. This class will also focus on cadence.
Skills and drills are vital to improving that pedal stroke and becoming
a more efficient and effective cyclist or spinnerŪ!
Strength - All levels, hill work. This class builds cardiovascular
and muscular endurance, definition and power, develops the ability to
buffer lactic acid build out in the muscle, giving you the ability to
work harder for longer periods of time.
Interval - All levels. All terrain, varying levels of intensity.
Emphasizes speed, timing and rhythm in work to rest intervals.
Race day - Intermediate to advanced levels. Simulates an actual
bike race. Quick flats, challenging climbs, breakaways and an all out
sprint to the finish line. Race day is 40 minutes of "laying it on
the line" for a physical and mental challenge.
Recovery - All levels. Active recovery that removes lactate and
circulates blood and oxygen throughout the body.
Tempo - All Levels, Threshold training at its best. All terrain
class involving long bouts of work at or just below your lactate threshold.
This class is designed to improve your body's ability to clear lactic
acid, leaving you stronger both physically and mentally!
Beginner's Spin - Teaches proper bike set-up and technique. A 10
minute introduction and 25 minutes of Spinning.
